Brunet

Brunet is a goat milk version of Robiola cheese. It is a bloomy rind cheese with a dense, thick and creamy paste inside. Its flavor, as for most goat cheeses, is slightly tangy, with notes of grasses, mushrooms and cream. The Brunet takes the name from a local breed of goat. Brunet is produced on the breathtaking hills and meadows of Piemonte's agricultural area, called The Langhe. This area is the homeland of famous wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco, of delicious hazelnuts and, some of the best Italian cheeses. Robiola and Castelmagno are just a couple of names belonging to the prestigious range of dairy products which make this region a culinary focal point. Caseificio dell’Alta Langa, situated in the town of Bosina, produces traditional Piemontese cheeses which they reinterpret, thanks to the use of modern cheese-making technology and a passion for cheese. Organoleptic characteristics Aspect and consistency: soft, dense, and creamy with a bloomy geotrichum rind Taste: tangy and goaty balanced by a rich creaminess.
